Its Indian star season here at Tortstork. Indian stars mate in the spring, lay eggs through summer, but it takes on average 100-125 days for them to fully incubate. They first started hatching at the end of August, and they will continue to hatch through December. If you are interested in watching these gorgeous tortoises break through their eggs and start sharing the same oxygen you and I breath, head over to our Facebook page and stay up to date as they hatch.
My favorite trait of these gorgeous animals is the fact that their shell pattern changes as they grow. Unlike Burmese stars, who are born with their pattern, Indian stars change their designs as they grow into adults, so you will always be amazed of their beauty.
